WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker
IBM WebSphere Business Integration (WBI) Message Broker for Multiplatforms (formally WebSphere MQ Integrator Broker) is the latest release of the message broker component for the WebSphere Business Integration (WBI) Server. In this release, some of the features are:
- Eclipse V2-based design studio
- Tools compatibility with WebSphere Studio Application Developer with high performance, real-time Internet and Intranet communications, support for Web Services, support for mobile, wireless and telemetry devices
- Enterprise Integration Bus for on demand business
- Six WebSphere MQ Transports – Enterprise, Web Services, Mobile, Real-Time, Multicast and Telemetry
The Message Broker within WebSphere Business Integration Server enables solution designers to:
- Integrate existing applications to existing or new applications
- Visualize the application flow through the use of a graphical development environment
- Transform, augment, apply rules and route/distribute message-based data between high-performance systems
- Integrate application data with business data using dynamic content and topic-based publish/subscribe
- Deploy, configure and manage application integration flows requiring multiple run-times
The Message Broker transforms and enriches in-flight information to provide a level of intermediation between applications that use different message structures and formats. Message Broker features an open tooling framework where functions defined as nodes can be wired together and visualized as flow sequence to operate on the content of the messages. A Java API plug-in facility allows third-party processing nodes to manipulate message data, and extend the broker capabilities, for example specialist message format parsers, as well as custom Java application invocation from message flows.
